About GAXEL
What is GAXEL?
GAXEL is a designer-style padel racket brand created exclusively for girls, teens and women. Every GAXEL racket combines reliable performance with original, elegant designs that celebrate femininity, grace and personal style. Our motto is "Thrive Through Sport."
What makes GAXEL different from other padel brands?
Most padel rackets are designed for performance first and offered in a few colors. GAXEL starts from the female player: lighter, easy-to-handle rackets, shapes that forgive off-center hits, sizes matched to each age group, and designs created to be a style choice, not just equipment.
Who founded GAXEL?
GAXEL was founded by Laura Martínez. GAXEL is a US company based in Delaware. GAXEL® and Thrive Through Sport® are registered US trademarks.
Can men or boys use GAXEL rackets?
Yes. Anyone can play with a GAXEL racket. They are designed for female players, so they suit anyone who prefers a lighter, easier-to-swing racket.
When does GAXEL launch?
GAXEL launches in the United States in November 2026, starting with three women's rackets: Aero, Bloom and Essence. The junior Twinkle and teen Flow rackets will follow.
Where can I buy GAXEL rackets?
GAXEL rackets are sold on gaxelstore.com and on Amazon in the United States. Amazon UK is coming soon.
Choosing the right racket
Which GAXEL racket is right for me?
Choose by age first, then by level:
| Racket | Who it's for | Shape |
|---|---|---|
| Twinkle | Girls 8–12 | Round |
| Flow | Teen girls 13–18 | Round |
| Bloom | Women starting padel, fresh and expressive design | Oversized round |
| Essence | Women starting padel, refined and elegant design | Round |
| Aero | Women at intermediate level | Teardrop |
Which GAXEL racket is best for a woman just starting padel?
Bloom or Essence. Both are made for women starting padel, with a round shape and a large sweet spot that make the game easier to learn. Choose the design you love: Bloom is fresh and expressive, while Essence is refined and elegant.
What is the difference between Bloom and Essence?
Bloom and Essence offer the same beginner-friendly performance. The difference is the design. Bloom has a fresh, expressive look with bold colors. Essence has a refined, elegant look and comes in two designs: Sand Gold and Midnight Blush.
Which GAXEL racket is for intermediate players?
The GAXEL Aero. It has a teardrop shape that balances power and control, for women who play regularly and want more power on attacking shots.
When should I move from Bloom or Essence to Aero?
When you play regularly, control the ball well, and want more power on attacking shots.
What is the difference between round, teardrop and diamond rackets?
Round rackets have the largest sweet spot and are the easiest to control, so they suit beginners. Teardrop rackets balance control and power and suit improving players. Diamond rackets focus on power and are the hardest to control. GAXEL makes round and teardrop rackets.
Can I use a tennis or pickleball racket for padel?
No. Padel rackets are solid, stringless, perforated paddles with a foam core and a wrist strap. Tennis rackets are too long for padel, and pickleball paddles are not allowed.
Are GAXEL rackets legal for tournaments?
Yes. GAXEL adult rackets are made to the International Padel Federation's limits: up to 45.5 cm long, 26 cm wide and 38 mm thick, with a wrist cord.
For parents
What size padel racket does a 10-year-old girl need?
A junior racket, which is shorter and lighter than an adult one. The GAXEL Twinkle is designed for girls aged 8 to 12. If your daughter is tall or strong for her age, the teen Flow may suit her better.
When should my daughter switch to a teen or adult racket?
Most girls move to a teen or adult racket between 12 and 14, depending on height and strength more than age. The GAXEL Flow, for ages 13 to 18, is the step between Twinkle and the adult rackets.
Is GAXEL good for girls who have never played a racket sport?
Yes. Twinkle and Flow are made for first-time and improving players, with easy-to-handle weights and forgiving round shapes, so girls can enjoy the game from day one.
Is the Twinkle a toy?
No. The Twinkle is real padel equipment in junior size, made for actual play on a padel court.

Care
How do I care for my padel racket?
Keep it in a cover, away from heat such as a hot car, and wipe it with a damp cloth after play. Replace the overgrip when it feels slippery, and avoid hitting the walls or the ground.
How long does a padel racket last?
It depends on how often you play. Replace it when you see cracks in the frame, or when the ball starts to feel "dead" off the face.
